Permissions issue after upgrade of virtualenv

Ola, So I installed a new virtualenv using Python3.11, kept all settings intact, copied /opt/mailman/mmvar from the old virtualenv to the new one. Trying to access Postorius, I am greeted with this error: Thu Mar 09 22:17:59.313459 2023] [core:error] [pid 15655] (13)Permission denied: [client 197.232.xx.xx:26574] AH00035: access to / denied (filesystem path '/opt/mailman/mm') because search permissions are missing on a component of the path, referer: https://mm3-lists.kictanet.or.ke/ I did not change Apache config and I made sure that /opt/mailman is all owned by mailman:mailman. mail for lists.ccalternatives.org loops back to myself, then Recipient address rejected

Environment: Debian 10; Postfix 3.4.14; GNU Mailman 3.3.5; Mailman Core API Version 3.1; Mailman Core Python Version 3.7.3 Digging a hole after having simply created a new mailing list. This has not happened before. Steps taken: -Created list via web interface -Added subscribers via web interface -Sent email to listname -Received error bounce: This is the mail system at host zarathustra.ccalternatives.org. I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below. For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster. If you do so, please include this problem report. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message. bounce_score_threshold control

Hi guys, I have recently started receiving these mails from the system. First it was frighting me out that people's account got disabled, but actually nothing has happened, nobody got disabled. I however looking to figure out how can I control or change settings for this particular mechanism. Please advise me. emailname(a)example.it's subscription has been disabled on listname(a)domain.eu due to their bounce score exceeding the mailing list's bounce_score_threshold. Regards, Tibor

Has MM3 been tested with Python3.11? I updated a Debian VM to Python3.11, installed MM3 and migrated the configs. Question about the smtp log (rotation)

I have been asked to take over the management of the mailman3 servers as the prior admin left little documentation. One of the first things I need to do is optimize the logging. Currently the mailman.log is being rotated and zipped by user list and kept 5 day. (this is fine but would like to increase it some) But the smtp log has not been rotated since August (also created by user list) I cannot seem to find what process does this and how I can modify it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Archiver Hyperkitty Not Found

Hello, I upgraded from Debian 10 to 11 today, and hyperkitty archiver stopped working. From the mailman.log: AssertionError: Archiver not found: hyperkitty I followed along on a related thread: https://lists.mailman3.org/archives/list/mailman-users@mailman3.org/thread/… I don't see any resolution to that thread. The only thing that worked for me was removing the hyperkitty rows from the listarchiver table in the database. But of course, now I don't have working archiving. >>> from mailman.config import config >>> list(config.archivers) [<mailman.archiving.mhonarc.MHonArc object at 0x7fd64ea47310>, <mailman.archiving.mailarchive.MailArchive object at 0x7fd64ea47490>, <mailman.archiving.prototype.Prototype object at 0x7fd64ea47790>] Any ideas? How would I make the archiver available? This django stuff is infuriatingly difficult compared to other frameworks.

URLs in moderation messages

Hi, I’ve clearly got something wrong in my configuration, but I can’t work out what. All my URLs seem to have the “mailman3” part duplicated, i.e. Https://example.com/mailman3/mailman3/lists Is where I have to go to get a list of my mailing lists, which just doesn’t seem right. In my settings.py file I have: POSTORIUS_TEMPLATE_BASE_URL = 'https://example.com/mailman3/' If I change the value of this to just https://example.com/ it doesn’t change this, Where have I gone wrong? Hi! I am trying to install Mailman3 using this tutorial/documentation: https://wiki.list.org/DOC/Howto_Install_Mailman3_On_Debian10 So far, so good. But running (venv) mailman@listserver: mailman info throws an error: sqlalchemy.exc.NoSuchModuleError: Can't load plugin: sqlalchemy.dialects:postgres First, I thought SQLAlchemy is missing, but: (venv) mailman@listserver: pip install sqlalchemy Requirement already satisfied: sqlalchemy in ./venv/lib/python3.9/site-packages (2.0.4) Requirement already satisfied: typing-extensions>=4.2.0 in ./venv/lib/python3.9/site-packages (from sqlalchemy) (4.5.0) Requirement already satisfied: greenlet!=0.4.17 in ./venv/lib/python3.9/site-packages (from sqlalchemy) (2.0.2) How can I fix this? Hi! The error above occurs when starting mailman. The xxxx shows a part from the database section of mailman.cfg. I followed the tutorial https://wiki.list.org/DOC/Howto_Install_Mailman3_On_Debian10. But since django and postgres changed some things, I had to fix some files of mailman3 to get it working. This is the part of mailman.cfg: [database] class: mailman.database.postgresql.PostgreSQLDatabase url: postgresql://mailman:<mypassword>@localhost/mailman Full error: sqlalchemy.exc.OperationalError: (psycopg2.OperationalError) could not translate host name "assword>@localhost" to address: Name or service not known How can I fix this?
