Is there a way accept/discard held messages through mailman shell

Hi Team, I am currently running Mailman 3 with version 3.3.1 and in built postfix version 2.10.1-6 on RHEL 7.5 with PostgreSQL 11.7 version with default values in production environment from the past 4 months almost. As of now, we are having around 1327 lists created on this. I learnt how to approve/discard/reject the held messages through the web interface and also through the CURL command line. mailman3-web MailingList matching query does not exist.

Hi, The logs of mailman3-web are flooded with the following error. I suspect this is because I removed some mailing lists (using the hyperkitty web interface and the delete button) and the cache still references them. Is there a job supposed to fix this at some point ? persistent style

Hi, How could I save a new style please? I've followed the instructions in https://mailman.readthedocs.io/en/latest/src/mailman/styles/docs/styles.html and after the "manager.register(...)" I typed "commit()". But later, after exiting the mailman shell, the style is not saved... Another question: Where could I find the list of all options, that can be used in a style please? I've found some of them in mailman/styles/default.py (BasicOperation, Bounces, Public, Private, Moderation, etc.), but I'll need some more. TIA for any help, -- Peter

How to prevent members to attach executables (exe, bat, ...) to the emails sent to list

Hi, I am trying to find a way for content filtering to remove executables from the emails sent to the list. I found some hints under: https://mailman.readthedocs.io/en/stable/build/lib/mailman/handlers/docs/fi… but still not clear how to do it for all type of excecutables. Best regards Mohsen

Hi, It turns out to be a feature added in 1.3.1 [0]. I wonder if the MySQL instructions listed in this comment[1] are safe to use? I'm reluctant to upgrade because the machine is for production and using packages from Debian GNU/Linux buster is recommended. Hyperkitty fulltext search performances

Hi, I'm in the process of importing a large number of mbox (~30,000) for a few hundred mailing lists. So far around 300,000 mails (~12GB) were imported from two mailing lists. The hyperkitty_import process took ~8 hours and created a 10GB MySQL database. The update_index_one_list for the two lists took a total of ~72 hours and created a ~2GB worth of index in /var/lib/mailman3/web/fulltext_index, which is consistent with the fact that there are lot of attachments (probably 10GB out of 12GB). When I search for one word via the full text search web interface, it takes around 30 seconds to complete (even when repeated twice) and I can see the process grow to use up to 6GB of resident memory. It is running on a recent physical machine with decent IO and a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2609 v2 @ 2.50GHz. Is this consistent with other people experience? Mailman3 not delivering list mail

Hello, I have a fresh mailman3 installation that I recently upgraded from mailman2 on a debian system.Â In any event, I imported some test lists and tested my installation thoroughly and everything seemed to be working fine.Â Then, today, I imported a important live working mailing list from mailman2 and everything appeared to go well both with the import of the list addresses and the archives.Â However, when I sent out the first post on Mailman3 the post was not echoed to the list members.Â Then, I subsequently discovered that the queue had lots of mail undelivered in /var/lib/mailman3/queue/bad. It appears that my mailman3 installation has stopped delivering list mail and that all of the list mail is stuck in /var/lib/mailman3/queue/bad. How do I resolve this situation?Â Can I just remove the files with "rm *" in the /var/lib/mailman3/queue/bad directory?Â Please let me know what I should do to get things working again.
