Strange error in uwsgi-error.log

Friends I am installing on a fresh ubuntu 18.10 using mailman3-full. Following http://docs.mailman3.org/en/latest/config-web.html after http://docs.mailman3.org/en/latest/config-core.html and I have got to point where I am a bit stumped. I have to set EMAIL_HOST_USER and EMAIL_HOST_PASSWORD I am unsure what I should use here. What sort of user? Worik -- If not me then who? If not now then when? If not here then where? Using MySQL via unix socket

Hi, I'm trying to setup mailman3 on Linux and try to find out how the connection string must look like to let it accept unix sockets. A call to mysql -umailman -p successfully uses the socket on the machine and logs in. I tried mysql+pymysql://mailman:mailmanpass@127.0.0.1/mailman3?charset=utf8&use_unicode=1&unix_socket=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock as the connection string but it says that mysql server is not available. Which is the same if remove the "unix_socket" parameter. I have found this parameter when searching the net, but I'm not sure if it is supported. Thanks in advance and best regards Torge

Audit Logs

Greetings, I’m wondering if there is an “audit log” of sorts to see who made changes to a specific list. What we’re after is a way of tracking, in case requested, who made additions or deletions of subscribers etc. I can see the DELETE commands in the ./mailman/logs/mailman.log file but it doesn’t specifically state who made the request. It can be inferred from the timestamps. I’m just wondering if there is somewhere else I should be looking for this information. Thank you, Enrique J. Terrazas

Issue with mySQLdb-module on Debian

Hi, I already opened a debian bugreport for it, but I'm still wondering why the following issue appears: File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/django/db/backends/mysql/base.py", line 30, in <module> 'Did you install mysqlclient or MySQL-python?' % e django.core.exceptions.ImproperlyConfigured: Error loading MySQLdb module: No module named 'MySQLdb'. Did you install mysqlclient or MySQL-python? python3-pymysql, which is a dependency of mailman3-web and provides mySQLdb, is installed. (Maybe it's time to migrate to postgres.) Kind regards Bjoern

Dear MM3 list, while doing some reboot proofing for our mailman setup, I once more ran into https://github.com/maxking/docker-mailman/issues/133. May it be that https://github.com/maxking/docker-mailman/pull/143 hasn't made it yet into the docker image maxking/mailman-web:0.2 which is the current recommended stable version? Would be real nice (for stability!) to have this feature included. Best regards, Johannes Winter
