The faster access after first time is probably due to local caching of DNS entries. Try checking your DNS servers for the domains and how long they take to respond. Your browser is probably just waiting more for DNS response. If Postorius is not suitable for some reason, you would need to implement an application on the host to provide a user interface to the API with appropriate authentication and controls. The bug in aiosmtpd is a bit weird and has to do with how the test cases in aiosmtpd and Python 3.10 changes interact with SSL. For the intents and purposes of Mailman, we don't use SSL for the communication between MTA and aiosmtpd, so there _shouldn't_ be any issuer with your setup. Ideally, `pip` shouldn't have allowed you to install aiosmtpd in a Python venv with 3.10, but that depends on which version of pip you are using since the newer versions have better support for such management. > 2. You can install things into that venv and when you are done and ready to switch, you can update all the paths in various places to use update 'venv-3.9' instead of 'venv'. In case you encounter any issues, you can always revert back to older 'venv' in the paths wherever the are needed and bring back the old install. I don't think this would help the issue. What I am seeing here is users signing up through Postorius using the sign up option which then creates an account in Django (but not Mailman). Yesterday alone I had over 700 of these accounts created. I don't know whether they pass email confirmation or not (I don't see this in Django admin), however they don't get added as users in Mailman and they don't attempt to subscribe to any list. >It may be possible to do something automatic, but you need to explain how you know these users are "fake", and it has to be something that can easily be detected with a few lines of Python. (As above, it will say Mailman has exited. What's important is if it says there are other errors detected.) What does "journalctl -S HH:MM -u mailman -x" say? HH:MM should be a minute or so before you most recently started mailman with systemctl. What does "ps -e -f -u mailman" say? There should be a dozen or so processes running. Does systemctl stop mailman /opt/mailman3/venv/bin/mailman start work better? The systemd commands are useless, but you can check that the runners are active with the ps command above. Failing all that, does rebooting help? Steve

You do need to rin it after upgrading things like hyperkitty, postorius and django-mailman3 and other dependencies which may have defined migrations for various database schema changes, but this will do nothing for your data.
