I'm trying to find the records I would need to update on the new site to connect them, and not sure how. I'm sorry. I can't give a more definitive response without more information. How was Mailman installed on the prior server? New server? Have you moved the Mailman database(s)? When you say your lists.(domain).org address is not working, do you mean a web address or an email address? What's in logs for this failed address? -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Dylan

If you are following https://docs.mailman3.org/en/latest/install/virtualenv.html you probably need to specify the path in /etc/mailman3/settings.py as in, e.g. ``` HAYSTACK_CONNECTIONS['default']['PATH'] = '/opt/mailman/mm/var/fulltext_index' ``` -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. You need to run the Django admin command `compilemessages` and perhaps others. If you prefer to use the Debian packages, that's fine, but if using the Debian packages, your primary resource for support, documentation, bug reports, etc. should be Debian. The German translation is at <https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/-/blob/master/src/mailman/messages/de/LC…>, however it is translated in the user's preferred language, not the list's. Yes, this is the list:user:notice:goodbye template which is empty by default, however this is sent for all unsubscribes, not just those due to bounces. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. For the customer, > we would like to start this list with a clean archive :) Current HyperKitty can delete the current thread or message and even the entire list archive if you are logged in as a superuser. Also see <https://gitlab.com/mailman/hyperkitty/-/issues/261>. And also see <https://gitlab.com/mailman/hyperkitty/-/issues/3> for a way tyo do this in a django-admin shell, but that doesn't work with MySQL or MariaDB as the database manager because of foreign key constraints. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. It is very strange and frustrating Are there files in /opt/mailman/mm/var/archives/hyperkitty/spool/? Do messages received from the list have an Archived-At: header:? Do messages received from the list have a List-Archive: header:? If the first answer is yes, the mailman_hyperkitty archive_message method is failing. If the second answer is no, the mailman_hyperkitty permalink method is failing. If the second answer is no, the mailman_hyperkitty list_url method is failing. All of these failures log errors to the mailman.archiver log which by default is written to mailman.log. The mailing lists imports work fine, but the archives seems to work sometimes: This means that some lists archives appear but others are missing when browsing the archives in the web UI. This happens despite the command line telling me that the import went fine. Here are the steps I run for the archives: All of which look fine. Have you set ``` FILTER_VHOSTS = True ``` in your Django settings? If so, does setting it `False` make a difference? -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Dylan
