When you run mailman info it will report among other things the location of 'config file:'. The user who owns this file is the user that should run the mailman digests --send command. I.e., it should be in that user's crontab or in something like '/etc/cron.d/mailman' with that user specified. Which Abhilash said has to be done in the mailman shell - as does the documentation. Mailman can't even start with this added. Which is a problem. I was confused. I should have said ` mailman shell`, not `mailman-web shell`. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> Sent from my Not_an_iThing with standards compliant, open source software.

Also, on your test list, did you copy/paste the regexp or retype it. If the latter, there is possibly trailing whitespace that breaks it. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. This may qualify. In any case, the need is now documented in a more visible way than just a post on this list. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. I'm having a bad time with this thread. :-( I meant to say It does have to do with outlook.com. It is because the Message-ID: header in the original message is folded as in > Message-ID: <crlf> > <MN2PR20MB324587763E970CC56351F8C5B66D9(a)MN2PR20MB3245.namprd20.prod.outlook.com> and the added <crlf><space> actually gets included in the log message. Anyway I have updated the script at <https://www.msapiro.net/scripts/smtp_report>. My update is much simpler than the one at <https://lists.mailman3.org/archives/list/mailman-users@mailman3.org/message…>, but I have tested it, and it works. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Thank you. I tested that DSN with current flufl.bounce and it is recognized as a temp failure for the reported address and that in turn should just be ignored by Mailman's bounce runner and not reported as unrecognized. Will this need to go in the upstream release or is there any way I could re-import those messages into the database with a newer version of the import command from the original mbox from 2.1 to fix this? Sorry for not following up sooner. This got deferred and then forgotten :( I would like to see the offending message from the original mbox so I can develop an appropriate fix. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B.
