I mentioned some "unfortunate circumstances" in a recent post. An inquiry from Mark Sapiro prompted me to do a search and I sadly found this.
Brian's company managed our list and on 4/22 we became aware that he was hospitalized with Covid.
Rest in peace Brian.

That’s awful. Brian was a great help to me in setting up a solid MM3 installation after my mess of a self-install and he’s been a constant source of assistance on this list.
RIP Brian. 😞

I knew Brian from this list. I read his posts with great interest because I considered him a person of great competence and seriousness. We will miss him very much. Rest in peace Brian. 😞

I have known Brian for many years mainly from the Mailman lists and he was a great resource. For a while now I have been meaning to check on the HOWTO he was writing for installing Mailm3 on Debian and yesterday I actually wanted to check on it.
What a sad turn of events.
May his soul rest in peace.

Thanks for letting us know.
Brian was fantastic help on getting me up and going with mailman3 a few months ago...and his work on friendlier interfaces for mm3 is excellent. He will definitely be missed in this community and by me. He was always helpful off list as well as on list. It was brilliant support to have.
I hope his legacy at emwd.com and Harmony Lists continues.
Rest in peace Brian.
Yes, very sad news. E-Democracy.org was plotting with Brian (due to his passion for pushing the envelope on making Mailman list much more web-friendly) a move to his services. He had great spunk and passion for online communities.

Agreed.
Brian was fabulous in getting us setup with Mailman services at his company and continued to provide great and friendly service at a reasonable price. I was always pleased to see his participation on this list knowing he was continually working on improving a good product.
(after trying to set up MM3 on my own, I eventually decided to rely on an expert like Brian. It was a very wise decision).
Very sad news indeed.
