This is something which is specific to Emails. There is a header called "Reply-To" which is used by email clients to send replies. That is the "default" address a reply will go to when you hit "reply button" in you email client.
The setting you are talking about can alter the "Reply-To" header in the emails, for whatever reason they might have to do so. Ideally, you don't want to change the settings since it can break things for some of your users who use emails.
Ok, so testing this, I left it as no munging and “reply to@ automatically became the list, which is what I want. The list settings are different for THIS list I guess since your name appears when I hit Reply, but I want it to go to the list so others can benefit and therefore I use REPLY TO ALL.
I wonder what setting in this list that was?
By the way, I see that my email address in my messages in my list is fully visible. If I want to make it hard for email harvesters, what setting do I use?
