You have two options:
- Reading the documentation for the MM3 Debian's package and asking for support from the pkg maintainers, or
- Opt to install MM3 using virtualenv - and we'll endeavor to answer your questions.
- Receive a polite, helpful answer from the MM3 users list. The MM3 documentation does talk about installation using Debian packages so it is reasonable to expect answers to questions.
No: I will not use virtualenv (I tried once & got lost) as that is a whole different way of managing packages & dependencies; use Debian's apt provides a nice unified way of doing that, without getting updates from elsewhere. I have no interest in becoming a python guru - which, unfortunately, seems a requirement for MM3. Thanks to help from others I will not need to.
