[MM3-users] Heads Up - Downtime

by Mark Sapiro

We are moving the server that supports this list and that which supports our wiki to a different cloud VPS. In conjunction with this, there will be some time beginning around 16:30 UTC and continuing for about an hour when lists.mailman3.org, www.list.org and wiki.list.org will be unavailable. During this down time, mail to <mailman-users(a)mailman3.org> should be queued in the respective MTAs and delivered when service is restored. Nothing should be lost. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Dylan

For list welcome and goodbye messages to users, this is https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/-/issues/993, fixed by https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/-/merge_requests/1000 but since that was fixed in Mailman 3.3.6, this would be a separate issue. Please be more specific than `all types of system mails`. Where is the fault? There is an inconsistency in your Django installation. force_text was deprecated in Django 3.0 and removed in Django 4.0 Nothing in Django 4.0+ should be importing force_text. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B.
