As for the traceback - I'm assuming it's from postorius, as this happens when attempting to load the held messages in the Postorius UI. I am not seeing any such behavior on none of my MM3 servers. One server we were having similar problems and that was due to a bunch of bad behaving indexing bots (semrush, ahrefbot) hammering the server.
