Thx for your always competent answers. In this case I just needed to uncomment the not needed socialaccount lines in mailman3.cfg. As we do not use them. And now I hope for a debian package upgradem or I need to replace them with virtuelenv install as soon as I need to upgrade. And I had a look in /opt/mailman/mm/var/templates/lists/ -- nothing there.

[MM3-users] Re: Problems with New MM3 Installation

by Jeff

Thanks Mark and Abhilash (who responded separately). I have worked out all the issues I was having and now the list is running smoothly. The trick for POSTORIUS_TEMPLATE_BASE_URL with uwsgi was "http://[hostname]/mailman3/ <http://[hostname]/mailman3/>“. I appreciate all the help I’ve received from this mailing list. > On May 11, 2021, at 11:43 PM, Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> wrote: > > On 5/11/21 7:46 PM, Jeff wrote: >> >> I really appreciate your assistance. I traced this problem to POSTORIUS_TEMPLATE_BASE_URL. By default, it is set to "http://localhost:8000 <http://localhost:8000/>” which is where uwsgi is listening. However, uwsigi is listening for uwsgi:/ not http://. Should I change POSTORIUS_TEMPLATE_BASE_URL to “uwsgi://localhost:8000 <uwsgi://localhost:8000>” or keep http but make it something else? > > > I know little about uwsgi. setting it to `uwsgi://localhost:8000` might > work. Not really a bug, but the RFCs recommend using the defaults (ie, US-ASCII) where that's possible. I wonder if it's possible to use email.policy to change that.[1] With respect to the actual problem, I don't have anything to say until we have more information about the relevant settings. Oh, I guess I also wonder if maybe the language doesn't have a translation for that message yet? Steve Footnotes: [1] Speaking of bugs, my MUA decoded that MIME word when it quoted the message even though it's not in the header! Aaargh.

It may re-create them as part of the schema upgrade > check. That was my immediate guess. I'm not an SQL expert, but I believe that sequences and indexes are different entities, they're both optimizations that you don't need (ie, ignoring performance), and implementations differ on how they're implemented. Eg, if sqlite implements them as tables, while PostgreSQL has a special data structure, you could run into this kind of behavior. I'm pretty sure that these will be recreated appropriate to the new database when the schema validator is done. But don't trust me, and *do* keep a backup. ;-) Steve

Mark, please, how do you check when translations happened? Nov 7th is a very significant date for me (it is my wedding anniversary) and I'm 90% sure that I dedicated time to Weblate after that date... All strings related to Mailman (core, django_mailman3, postorius and hyperkitty) are translated into Spanish 100%, but the interfaces, after updating to the latest releases, are still in Englanish (more English than Spanish). This is not a fight, we want to help, but do not know how. At least I understand the option to create new "web-hosts" in "add domain" in this way. But I haven't found any further information for setting up multiple web-hosts. Is there any yet?
