Hi Mark, Thank you Mark and Phil for your help. It seems I got stuck! 1- I tried to set up the max_message_size in WUI under: listname > settings > Message Acceptance > Maximum message size to 0. After hitting save button, I got the error message: " An error occured: Unknown attribute: max_message_size" 2- I checked the python files and found this file, where, it seems, the default value is defined: /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/mailman/styles/base.py : mlist.max_message_size = 40 I changed this value to 0, saved the file, restarted the mailman and postgresql (not sure if needed) and sent an email with a large attachment to my test list with just two members. I got the response email: The message is being held because: The message is larger than the 40 KB maximum size 3- I totally agree that the most important issue is the fact that the message vanished with the production list. I repeated the same with a (test) list which has two members, I got the email mentioning the 40 KB limit and I could release it. This is how I am running my tests now. I repeated it with the original list (with 197 members) the message disappeared again. Hi. Seems other people have had this on Office365 when I searched the specific error. I have enabled VERP now on probes and all list messages so lets see if that improves things. Thanks. Yesterday using the Mailman Shell I unbounced all the users on that list. This morning we got all Gmail users bounced again, with no NDR attached to the message. However on one of the messages the NDR was attached, and so I'm going to send that to Mark separately. It looks like the NDR included the information for all the bouncing messages though, and that is probably because Mailman sends the messages to all users in one SMTP transaction. The message returned from Google was: user(a)gmail.com 9/22/2023 9:44:55 AM - Server at PAVPR08MB9257.eurprd08.prod.outlook.com returned '550 5.4.300 Message expired -> 421 4.4.2 Connection dropped due to SocketError' 9/22/2023 9:24:03 AM - Server at gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com (142.250.27.27) returned '421 4.4.2 Connection dropped due to SocketError' Thanks. Is that right? Thank you Mark. The problem was, that the bounce-process was dying as we had nearly 200.000 unprocessed bounce messages in database. After setting UPDATE bounceevent SET processed = 1; the bounce-process keeps running and bounce.log is going wild and logs Member ... already scored a bounce on list list.domain.tld today. I see now the bounce-queue is quickly decreasing. Am Mi., 6. Prior to HyperKitty 1.3.0 the update_index job was run minutely to update the search indexes with new posts, but now it's hourly. You probably have a huge backlog of unindexed posts causing this job to run for a long time (Whoosh is particularly slow at indexing, Xapian is much better). I suggest for now, you quit running the minutely jobs and just try manually running ``` python2.7 /usr/bin/django-admin runjob update_index --pythonpath /usr/share/mailman3-web --settings settings ``` which will probably run for hours if not days. It would have helped me, specially setting up Apache's vhost (the example provided in the bundler only helped getting half of it working). One of the issues was the permissions to the run/wsgi path. Also, as I run on FreeBSD I had to create an rc script... I don't mind sharing it, it's not super advanced but it does the job.

The only way I've gotten it to work so far is by using the FQN. I can switch back to 127.0.0.1 but that wasn't working. Hi, I was wrong. It keeps happening. So the base_url didn't fix the issue. And the keys are the same in all configurations.
