This means the same thing as the List Default you see as an admin looking at the user. If you set the user to something other than List Default and then set it back to List Default, the actual value set for the member's moderation_action is None. I.e., List Default is a more admin friendly way of displaying/setting None for the value. Mailman 2.1 passwords have no meaning in Mailman 3 and aren't imported. in MM 2.1 passwords were per list per member. In Mailman 3 core, there are no corresponding passwords. Passwords are for logging in to the web UI which is separate. Bottom line. You need to go to <https://your.site/accounts/signup/> and signup for an account. Then if you have more than one email address, go to <https://your.site/accounts/email/> and add your other addresses. Then, once logged in you should be able to manage any lists for which one of your addresses was imported as an owner and moderate any lists for which one of your addresses was imported as a moderator. Your wife can't get a password reset email because she hasn't signed up for an account and there is no password to reset. Apparently you did sign up for an account or maybe if you've configured any social account logins, you logged in with one of those which will create an account for you. You might try 'django-admin runjob empty_threads' (normally a monthly job) or 'django-admin runjob thread_order_depth' (normally a yearly job). I don't know if they will clear this up or not, but I don't think it would hurt to try. In your case, it should be /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/mailman/database/mysql.py. If that file exists, I don't know what the problem might be. If not, there is something wrong with your installation. In any case, this is a Debian issue. This is the Django hyperkitty sync_mailman job which is one of the django admin jobs run daily. It goes through the HyperKitty 'sender' database table and tries to find the Mailman core user id for each sender address to add/update its mailman_id field with core's user_id. The 404s are addresses im HyperKitty's sender table for whih there is no corresponding Mailman user. There are multiple possible reasons for this. You can hold all messages with a Cc: header with header filter which is close to what you want, but this won't distinguish between members and nonmembers in the Cc: header. There are other cases you might want to address such as multiple values in To:, one of which is the list and another is a nonmember, but I don't think you can accomplish that either. The best you can do in this case is a header filter on To: with a pattern that matches multiple addresses and a hold action. Such a pattern might be something like .*?@[^,]*,.*@ which will match anything up to the first @ followed by anything up to a comma followed by anything up to another @. The version of Postorius you are running requires mailmanclient >3.3.1 which is only available from GitLab <https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailmanclient>. What version of Postorius is this? There are multiple modules involved here. Mailman's lmtp runner uses the aiosmtpd LMTP class which is a subclass of the aiosmtpd SMTP class which in turn is a subclass of asyncio.StreamReaderProtocol which is reading data from the socket connecting to the incoming MTA. It seems that after the MTA sends the `250 Ok` response to the `RCPT TO:` command the MTA closes the connection and asyncio.StreamReaderProtocol calls the eof_received method resulting in the `EOF received` log message and ultimately the timeout. Have you looked at the MTA logs?
