One of the runners has died, most likely the `out` runner, but possibly another. The missing messages are stuck in a queue. Do ``` ls -laR /opt/mailman/core/var/queue ``` to see in which queue the messages are. The runner that processes that queue is gone or possibly stuck. Do ``` ps -fwwu mailman|grep runner= ``` when things are working to get a list of what runners should be there. Do it again when things aren't working to see what's missing. There also should be something in mailman.log about why the runner died, but if it was killed for some external reason, there may not be anything. Then you reran the import21. Was the list broken at that point, or only after removing the old owners and adding yourself? What if you try the following steps in order and try to view the list in Postorius after each step. - remove the list with `mailman remove list(a)example.com` and recreate it with `mailman create list(a)example.com` - run `mailman import21 list(a)example.com path/to/config.pck` - in Postorius, add yourself as owner. - in Postorius, delete one of the other owners. - repeat the deletion and viewing the list for the other unwanted owners one at a time. This should be shared for consistency, but if you don't care about this, you can put `enable: no` in the [archiver.prototype] section of mailman.cfg to disable it. cache - you're already sharing data - doesn't need to be shared unless it contains a sqlite mailman.db that's actually used. etc - doesn't need to be shared. lists - should be shared as it contains the mailboxes (digest.mmdf) for accumulating messages for a list's digest locks - should be shared master.pid - must not be shared as it contains the pip of the master process running on that node. messages - you're already sharing which you should. queue - this is tricky. If it isn't shared once a message gets queued in virgin/ or in/ on a node, only that node's runners will process it through its queues. It would be good to upgrade. Current HyperKitty/Postorius/Django is Python3 which will remove your dependency on Python 2.7. Also, there have been many performance improvements in more recent versions which may solve your issue. Your gateway timeout issue is a uwsgi time limit. You have to change the mail_host attribute of the list, but it may be easier to just delete it and create a new joetest(a)listservnew.luc.edu list. Then you can ignore everything below. To change the mail_host for the list you can do a database query or use `mailman shell`. The database query is ``` UPDATE mailinglist SET mail_host = 'listservnew.luc.edu' where list_name = 'joetest'; ``` The `mailman shell interaction is ``` $ mailman shell -l joetest(a)luc.edu Welcome to the GNU Mailman shell Use commit() to commit changes. Use abort() to discard changes since the last commit. Exit with ctrl+D does an implicit commit() but exit() does not. What about any log messages relating to messages from redlatinleg-bounces(a)lists.ccalternatives.org? Also, one other thing you might check. For the mailing list, the only changes needed are to the mailinglist table; A query like ``` UPDATE mailinglist SET mail_host = 'new.domain' WHERE mail_host = 'old_domain'; ``` would do, but this leaves the question of list_id. According to RFC 2919, section 4, the list_id should not change, but this is problematic in that if it isn't changed, a Postorius URL like https://example.com/mailman3/lists/list_name@new.domain will retrieve the list, but https://example.com/mailman3/lists/list_name.new.domain will not work. It would need to be https://example.com/mailman3/lists/list_name.old.domain so to reduce confusion, it may be better to update the list_id values A query like the following after the above should do it ``` UPDATE mailinglist SET list_id = CONCAT(list_name, '.', mail_host) WHERE mail_host = 'new_domain'; ``` For HyperKitty, similar changes need to be made to the hyperkitty_mailinglist table.
