Are these newly added users since the migration? If you migrate a list with the `mailman import21` the users of the MM 2.1 list will be imported and there won't be confirmations. > Now we have a long list of pending confirmations in different lists. If you just remove them, the user's addresses will still be unconfirmed. If you just want to remove them so you can redo the mass subscribes, you could do something like the following in `mailman shell` ``` >>> pendings = getUtility(IPendings) >>> for token, data in pendings.find( token_owner=TokenOwner.subscriber, pend_type='subscription'): ... pendings.confirm(token, expunge=True) ... >>> commit() ``` -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. I have tried adding it `ALTER TABLE domain ADD COLUMN base_url CHARACTER VARYING;` but this did not help. The docs at https://docs.mailman3.org/ include documentation of the heads of the GitLab branches so they may contain documentation of things that are not yet released. When Mailman 3.3.10 is released and you upgrade (or when you upgrade from the head of the GitLab branch), a migration will run automatically to add the base_url column to the domain table. > So I believe this is just some WIP. Does it just truncate the identifiers identically, in which case migrating via pgloader should work? Mailman doesn't make those names. Those are names in table index entries. Mailman specifies the columns in a table which are indexed, but the DBM itself manages the index. > For reference my pgloader script looks like: > > load database > from sqlite:///var/lib/dbconfig-common/sqlite3/mailman3-web/mailman3web.db > into postgresql://mailman3:XXREDACTEDXX@localhost/mailman > > with include drop, create tables, create indexes, reset sequences, no truncate I'm not sure why this doesn't work. What we need to see is the raw message. You should be able to find it in Mailman's var/archives/prototype/<list_address/new/ directory, perhaps by timestamp or something in the headers. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. I would guess it would be under the "Users -> Members -> Member options -> Delivery status", but theses are both (Enabled and disabled) unchecked, not indicating whether or not the member is either or. You are looking at the user's list based preferences. If one of these is unset, it falls back to address based preferences and from there to the user's global preferences. You can see all of these for yourself at the Mailman settings choice in the dropdown at your user name, but for another list member you only see the list based preferences. > How do I or the list admins re-enable a bounce-disabled member? Just set the member's delivery status on the page you see to Enabled. Even though it was not previously shown as Disabled by Bounces, it will be enabled. Likewise the member can set her Delivery status to Enabled. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Dylan

It is <https://gitlab.com/mailman/postorius/issues/58> however, this may in fact be a bug in the REST API in which case I don't think it's fixed in API 3.3.1 >> 2. However, you shouldn't have needed to do that. I only mentioned it in case there was an entry for the name and context with a URI pointing elsewhere. The default if there is no entry is to use Mailman's normal search rules which include templates/lists/<list-id>/en/list:member:regular:footer.txt. So I have to think that without that entry, it was searching a different templates/ directory. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Perhaps that would have helped? I don't think so. ACCOUNT_DEFAULT_HTTP_PROTOCOL is a Django allauth setting and I think only affects things like logging in to Django. MAILMAN_ARCHIVER_FROM is definitely relevant. > I'm going > to leave it be for now since the listener did the trick, but I will also > copy these remarks into my Ubuntu 18.04 Mailman3 setup guide which just > keeps getting better over time! Thanks. The bottom line here is if the only thing that changed that allowed things to work was creating a virtual host in Apache for 127.0.0.1:80 to not redirect to https, then Mailman core must have been (must be) going to port 80 (http). You've probably already done this more than once, but I suggest giving the following command mailman conf -s archiver.hyperkitty -k configuration This will print the path to the mailman-hyperkitty configuration file. Look in that file for the base_url: setting and verify that it has an https scheme. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B.
