You should look at each message in the shunt queue with `mailman qfile` and determine which ones you don't want at all, which ones you want to save for later and which ones you want to unshunt now. Just remove the ones you don't want at all. For the ones you want to save for later, move them to any other directory at all. It works fairly well for HyperKitty, but not so well for Postorius. In particular with Postorius it doesn't work if there is more than one mail host domain with the current web host. If you have a recent enough Postorius, a site admin can go to the Users link at the top of a page find the user, click Manage and change the Display Name. There are archives going back in some cases, decades, with currently a total of over 673,000 archived messages. The Mailman 3 database with all the archived messages and user info is 8.7 GB. Try setting `SITE = 0` in your Django settings file. If that doesn't work, try successively 1, 2, etc. One of these should work.
