I.e., if both the regular and digest footer templates are the same, you can put the footer template in list:member:generic.footer.txt and that will be used for both but only if the other files are not there. Probably, but I don't think HyperKitty should be in the business of attempting to repair message defects. This one issue of a null byte is arguably not a defective message, but rather an issue of storing a null byte in a database field, so maybe something could be done to `cleanse` that data before storing it. I need to research it to figure out where, but the issue is the <user_id> in https://example.com/archives/users/<user_id>/ doesn't exist. Are the crons - https://docs.mailman3.org/en/latest/install/virtualenv.html#cron-jobs-for-m… running? If they are, the hyperkitty sync_mailman job should run daily and might fix this. I think you're correct that it doesn't apply to nginx, but the symptom is not the same. It is not a Debian issue per se. It is an Apache change that got installed with a Debian update, but the underlying issue is with Apache.
