There is currently an incompatibility issue when following https://docs.mailman3.org/en/latest/install/virtualenv.html because that doc is based on the head of the GitLab branch, but `pip install mailman3` installs the 3.3.8 released version of core and the latest 6.1.0 version of importlib_resources and these are incompatible. There are two ways to fix this. The easy way is to downgrade importlib_resources in your venv with ``` pip install importlib_resources\<6.0 ``` The slightly more complex way is to upgrade mailman core to 3.3.9b1 from GitLab with ``` pip install -U git+https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman.git ``` -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. The issue is Mailman core would have to keep track of the message-ids and thread number of all prior posts to know whether the current post is a reply to some other post or not. You can't have two accounts in Postorius/Django with the same email address. But why would you want to? See <https://gitlab.com/mailman/postorius/-/issues/394> for the Postorius issue. This will be fixed for Postorius in the next release. For HyperKitty, the issue is <https://gitlab.com/mailman/hyperkitty/-/issues/254>. This is not yet fixed. Currently, if FILTER_VHOST is True, HyperKitty only shows lists in the index for which the list's domain matches the domain in the accessing url with a leading 'www.' stripped. I didn't write that page, but I think it is saying that for production, installing in a virtualenv is preferred over installing globally, and not that it is necessarily preferred over installing a Docker container or a distro package. The ``` path('mailman3/', include('postorius.urls')), path('archives/', include('hyperkitty.urls')), ``` settings should come after the ``` path('postorius/', include('postorius.urls')), path('hyperkitty/', include('hyperkitty.urls')), ``` settings (unfortunately, mailman-web 0.0.8 has these in the wrong order). As far as your EMWD migration from cPanel Mailman 2.1 to Mailman 3 is conerned, I think you'll find little if any change as far as email posting to the list and email from the list is concerned, but EMWD has their own proprietary web UI for list management and archiving, so the web UI at EMWD is quite different from that for this list.
