[MM3-users] Re: How to strip DKIM headers on a domain level or a list level

Which really sucks for everyone else. Several servers I'm involved with managing are subscribed to Yahoo's feedback loop (go to https://help.yahoo.com/kb/postmaster and select "Complaint Feedback Loop"). Reporting list mail as spam is one way to get quickly removed from a list. However, this is a bit complicated because the "report spam" button in Yahoo's web mail UI is right next to the "delete" button, so some reports are accidents. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. That code was merged on 14 Feb 2021 and is not in Postorius 1.3.4 which was released on 2 Feb. It should have been in 1.3.5 and I don't know why it is not at https://gitlab.com/mailman/postorius/-/blob/1.3.5/src/postorius/urls.py#L49, but that is moot in any case. > Thats ok, I’m going to 1.3.6 in a few days so that should solve my issue. Removing the address from the > list doesn't help. The status returned by the MTA is retryable (401) so Mailman will retry at 15 minute intervals for 5 days and then give up. If you want to get rid of the message before the 5 days are up, it is in Mailman's var/queue/retry/ queue. You can examine it with 'mailman qfile' to make sure you have the right message and then just remove it. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. I noticed that some posts come correct, but some have question marks (?) in places of these characters. Looks like there is sittings trick. But footers adds mailman, so it should be always correct, or it depends on senders environment setup? Have you set your list's preferred language to Lithuanian (lt)? If so, Mailman's character set for that language is iso-8859-13. If the list's preferred language is English, Mailman's character set for that language is us-ascii. These are artifacts from Mailman 2.1 and should ultimately be changed to utf-8, but in the mean time, templates need to be encoded in the appropriate character set. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Both these issues are fixed for the next releases of Postorius and HyperKitty which should be out later this month. > On > top of that another question: is it possible to add user accounts that > can manage lists for one domain but not other domains? [MM3-users] Re: global preferences

by Mark Sapiro

Again, please don't hijack threads. Post a new topic by composing a new message to mailman-users(a)mailman3.org, not as a reply to another list message. On 5/3/23 07:59, Christian via Mailman-users wrote: > Are checks and changes to global preferences for all lists to be made via a GUI or is it editing settings.py directly please? Thank you! You can set your global preferences via Postorius (select Mailman settings from the drop-down at the right of the top nav bar). These are the settings for the user that will apply if there is no applicable list-based or address-based setting. They are specific to the user. The defaults for these are defined in mailman/core/constants.py. They are Mailman core settings and have nothing to do with Django's settings.py. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. You originally wrote: "but now when clicking on the list, Postorius shows: An error occurred while processing your request." I'm guessing you are clicking the list in the Postorius `Mailing Lists` view, i.e. something like https://example.com/mailman3/ or https://example.com/mailman3/lists, and you are logged in, and the link is to https://example.com/mailman3/lists/listname.example.com. I've added the address to the "Accept these non-members" collection, but messages from that address still get held for moderation, due to the no-subect rule. Do not add the address to accept_these_nonmembers. Is the user a member? If so, go to the `Members` list, click on the user (search if necessary), scroll down to Administration options Moderation and set the dropdown to `Accept immediately (bypass other rules)` and click the Save changes button below that. If the user is not a member, do the same thing, but use the `Non-Members` list. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B.
