This is similar to https://lists.mailman3.org/archives/list/mailman-users@mailman3.org/thread/… although the URL is different. I see these from time to time on this list, although I don't get the emails from Django, probably because I don't define EMAIL_HOST in Django's settings. See https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/5.1/howto/error-reporting/ The bottom line is this is some kind of script kiddies attack, but the query fragment in the URL is malformed and causes the error. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. If so, there is an issue with your setting for POSTORIUS_TEMPLATE_BASE_URL. The default is ``` POSTORIUS_TEMPLATE_BASE_URL = http://localhost:8000/ ``` which should work if your wsgi server is listening on the local host, port 8000, but setting it to the base scheme and host you use to access Postorius is generally good. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. This is a 'site' as implemented in Django <https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/2.0/ref/contrib/sites/>. I.e., it provides ways to do different things or retrieve different content based on site, but I don't see that either Postorius or HyperKitty makes use of it in this way. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. It is not possible to tell Mailman that some arbitrary membership table or the result of some arbitrary query is to be used to determine the recipients of a message. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. I don't know if it's relevant or not, but I have just recently had issues with Firefox not working properly on two different (not mailman) web sites, and these issues were fixed by clearing cookies and cached data from the affected sites and restarting Firefox. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. The choices should be Accept, Reject and Discard. There should be no Ignore choice, but I'm guessing you see them in French where the translation of Discard is Ignorer. See https://gitlab.com/mailman/postorius/-/blob/master/src/postorius/locale/fr/…. The difference between Reject and Discard is Reject notifies the sender of the rejection whereas Discard just discards the message without notification. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. I searched internet, there are some similar reports that mention bugs causing this. I am running mailman3 as Ubuntu 18 package and they do not provide any update for this. These are probably from some spammer trying to post to the sec_g_zoom(a)listserv2.aaas.org list from hyperkitty and trying to login via the fedora OpenID app which is not properly configured on your server. Do you actually want to support fedora as an OpenID provider? If not, you might remove 'django_mailman3.lib.auth.fedora', from INSTALLED_APPS in your Django settings. Otherwise, see https://django-allauth.readthedocs.io/en/latest/providers.html#openid -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. With the current head of the GitLab branch, I get $ curl -urestadmin:restpass \ > --request POST \ > http://localhost:8001/3.1/domains {"title": "400 Bad Request", "description": "Missing Parameter: mail_host"} This may have been fixed for Mailman 3.3.10 by https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/-/merge_requests/1186 although it isn't clear to me why that would change this behavior. The only other recent change is https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/-/merge_requests/1320 and I can't see that changing this behavior. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B.
