Mailman 3 has more runner processes than Mailman 2.1 and they are larger. That is the difference in what you are seeing, but in neither case does this indicate an issue. Much if the memory footprint you see is idle memory that is only used because no other process needs it. I don't know what's involved in restarting mailman3-web, but I think that restarting it and uwsgi should be enough and a new settings_local.pyc would be created the next time a django process is invoked (e.g., by visiting a Postorius or HyperKitty web page). If you rerun hyperkitty_import with the since= option set to a date earlier that the oldest message to import, it should just work.
