If in Postorius on the list's Settings -> Alter Messages page, Filter Content and Convert html to plaintext are both Yes, the HTML should be converted to plain text and that should appear in HyperKitty. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. I had tried a fairly crude trawl through the mailman-core container files (not knowing what exactly to look for really), but failed to come up with anything. Presumably the files in the container contain a file like aiosmtpd-1.2-py3.7.egg (modulo versions), but that file is zip compressed so grep won't find anything in it. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. If the current policy is moderate and the user has a prior request waiting confirmation and a new request is rejected because of the prior request waiting confirmation, I think that is a bug in core, but I don't know if that is the case or not. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Since I think you said the MTA at box2.gtahardware.co.za is Postfix, you probably need to add the IP of the Mailman server to mynetworks in Postfix main.cf on box2.gtahardware.co.za. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Again, the above makes no sense. In what context are you doing this? `mailman shell` or something else? What is `list_name` is it a mailing list object or something else? mailing list objects have no `settings` attribute? There is no `settings` mapping with keys so `settings['accept_these_nonmembers']` is meaningless. What is `list_name.settings`? -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Dylan

[MM3-users] Re: Join a Mailman 3 list?

by Mark Sapiro

Mark Sapiro wrote: > I'm not sure if we can help with the issues you're having, but if you > tell us what they are, we can try. Upon rereading your initial post, I now think I understand that the issues you are having are with the current cPanel fork of Mailman 2.1 called Mailman 2.2 and running under Python 3. I know there are multiple issues with this, some of which have been addressed by cPanel, but porting a program like Mailman 2.1 to Python 3 is going to be full of issues mostly due to character encoding because Python 3 strings are different from Python 2 strings. There will be encoding and decoding errors all over the place. I think cPanel is working on these but the fixes aren't necessarily simple. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. What's missing is that you would need to create the directories `/opt/mailman/web/` and `/opt/mailman/web/logs` manually. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B.
