I can access mailman in the browser at https://SERVER_IP/mailman3 but when I try to use the hostname I get an nginx 400 bad request error. This is probably due to your setting for ALLOWED_HOSTS not including the IP for hostname. Check Django's log which in your installation should be at /opt/mailman/web/logs/mailmanweb.log. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. I haven't observed any error at the > installation up to that point. postfix_lmtp and postfix_domains will be created the first time you start Mailman core. You can create them without starting Mailman core with the command ``` mailman aliases ``` -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. From the point of view of Mailman Core, anyone who can run the 'mailman' command or access the REST API can create domains and lists. Postorius could support this in some way and could maintain it's own 'authorized users' data, but it would be better to also add some concept of domain admin to core. These would be significant changes. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Dylan

Could that be the issue why moderators are not getting their e-mails right away? Can I clear the queue by just deleting these files? For each one of those there will be an error message and a SHUNTING message in mailman.log. The error message with traceback will help you diagnose the issue. You can examine the files with `mailman qfile`. Once you fix the issue causing the exception, you can reprocess the shunted messages with `mailman unshunt`. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> Sent from my Not_an_iThing with standards compliant, open source software.

Anything that can be done with Mailman core can be done via `mailman shell` To deal with held messages, See <https://docs.mailman3.org/projects/mailman/en/latest/src/mailman/app/docs/m…>. This doesn't tell you how to get the ID of a specific request, but see<https://docs.mailman3.org/projects/mailman/en/latest/src/mailman/model/docs…>. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Also in my tracing of the code I noticed https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/-/blob/master/src/mailman/interfaces/dat… it starts with a single quote and ends with triple quotes so the single quote is never terminated. Actually, that's a typo, but it's not an error. in Python, two strings without an intervening operator are just concatenated, so "Interface for creating new databases.""" is just "Interface for creating new databases." concatenated with "" (the null string). -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B.
