This is a reference to a migration in django-allauth. is django-allauth installed. If so, what version? What does the database query ``` SELECT app, name FROM django_migrations WHERE app = 'socialaccount'; ``` show. It should be ``` app | name ---------------+------------------------------ socialaccount | 0001_initial socialaccount | 0002_token_max_lengths socialaccount | 0003_extra_data_default_dict (3 rows) ``` -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. In MM 2.1, a site has to enable open subscribes by putting ALLOW_OPEN_SUBSCRIBE = Yes in mm_cfg.py. Without this, list owners don't have the option. We should probably consider something similar for MM 3. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Dylan

What you found looks like the right thing, but it appears to not be a complete Mailman but rather just the Systers added and modified files, and yes it is based on an old Mailman 2.1. As far as I know, none of this has ever been migrated to Mailman 3. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. However, I can't make it work without setting the language manually for each list first. New lists are created with English as their language, breaking the creation of welcome mail. Also, I can not add members to the lists from Postorius. I want all new lists to use utf-8 without having to use mailman shell. How can it be done? Put [mailman] default_language: no in your mailman config. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. Dylan

by Mark Sapiro

On 1/5/19 2:21 PM, Marvin Gülker wrote: > Hi everyone, > > I just stumbled over an in-progress standard called ARC. ... > > Will Mailman at some point support this new standard? There was a GSOC project for this a couple of years ago resulting in <https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/merge_requests/204>, but this is still not ready. There is another MR at <https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/merge_requests/252> which also needs more review/updating. And, there is an open issue at <https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/issues/396>. So yes, we fully expect that MM 3 will support ARC at some point, but we're not there yet. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. It is fixed in the django-allauth GitHub repository by <https://github.com/pennersr/django-allauth/pull/2458> You can apply the patch from that PR to your django-allauth installation to fix this. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. It only installs system wide. Further, apt doesn't know about packages installed by pip (either system wide or in a virtualenv) and vice versa.
