The LMTP runner makes a separate `in` queue entry for each recipient list, thus these are processed as separate messages regardless of how they arrived. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. I don't know if this is a change since 1.3.4 or an issue with the Debian package. The latest Debian stable (bookworm) has more up to date packages if you can upgrade. In any case, this does not seem to be an issue in current HyperKitty. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. In a standard setup, anything set in settings_local.py overrides any corresponding setting in settings.py. That said, FILTER_VHOSTS is not perfect. It only works for Postorius if the separate web hosts also have different mail hosts. Is there a configuration error for my setup? Or is it just a not fixed bug? Add the --force option to the 'mailman start' command in your startup script. i.e. `mailman start --force` -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. by Mark Sapiro

On 11/11/20 2:11 PM, Brian Carpenter wrote: > This happened again. Is there a way to get HK to deal with such messages automatically? How would you like them dealt with? The issue is in mailman-hyperkitty. When it's attempt to archive the message returns an error, it queues the message for retry. It is not clear if any of these errors are actually retryable - for sure some aren't but maybe others like HyperKitty not responding are - but even if we think retry won't succeed what would you like done with the message? -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. The traceback indicates sqlalchemy is unpickling data whose type is PickleType. The only mailinglist columns which are PickleType are the legacy *these_nonmembers and topics. You could try invoking mysql on Mailman's database and doing SELECT list_name, accept_these_nonmembers, hold_these_nonmembers, reject_these_nonmembers, discard_these_nonmembers, topics FROM mailinglist; and look for the longest values to possibly identify the problem list and attribute. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B. In particilar, MAILMAN_ARCHIVER_FROM must include the IP 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' from the above log message. -- Mark Sapiro <mark(a)msapiro.net> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B.
