Time Zone Problem In Postorius

I have the server TZ set to EST. I have the TZ for Postfix set to EST. I have the following set in my settings_local.py file: TIME_ZONE = 'America/New_York' USE_TZ = True However messages showing up in the pending moderation queue box shows UTC date. I am seeing this behavior in Affinity as well so I figured it is either a Mailman core setting or perhaps database? Can anyone shed light on that? Brian

So I couldn't find a schema.cfg file but but when checking mailman-web.py and mailman.cfg they both have the same password. Albeit not the restpass but a much longer random password. I was able to connect using both telnet options. For reference the instructions I followed for installing this (up to the SSL cert) were here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xIcSsoNFp2nHi7r4eQys00s9a0k2sHhu1V5Plan… I attempted the docker container instructions but ran into more problems.

Hi Ruth, I had a similar issue before and noted how the Docker system does this. In mailman.cfg do something like: [webservice] hostname: mailman-core.Domain.tld port: 8001 Set hostname to something that resolves to the current IP that you want external clients to connect to the REST interface on, potentially manipulate the Hosts file on the local machine if needed. Set port as desired. This fixed a similar issue for me. Thanks. Andrew.

I've created https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/-/issues/735 for this and I've also done an experiment and found what I think is a workaround. If you set ``` [webservice] hostname: greyarea-post.cam.ivimey.org ``` or maybe just `greyarea-post` would do, and then add to `/etc/hosts` on `greyarea-post` ``` 0.0.0.0 greyarea-post.cam.ivimey.org ``` or whatever name you used for `hostname` this will get gunicorn to bind to the public interface and will include the proper hostname in the `self_link` responses.

Unsubscribe Notifications Clarification

I am trying to understand how Mailman 3 handles unsubscribe notifications. From my testing I see the following behavior: 1. If list member sends email to listname-leave@listname, an unsubscribe notification is sent to both list owner and list member if list settings have them enabled. 2. If list list member is a registered user of Postorius and he uses Postorius to unsubscribe, then no notification is sent out to either list owner or list member, even if list settings has unsubscribe notifications enabled. Is this correct? Brian

Postorius password resets

Hi, I am having an issue with our system where password resets are giving the users an email with a http://localhost:8000 URL. I have made sure settings in settings_local.py (and even settings.py) are as follows: POSTORIUS_TEMPLATE_BASE_URL = 'https://lists.hodgsonfamily.org' However emails are still coming through with the wrong URL.
