Well I am having the same difficulty. *With your statement here, let me ask you this:* 1. If someone subscribes to a public list, are they being notified that a user account is being created (by Mailman 3 core) as part of the subscription process? 2. When someone unsubscribes from mailing list, are they being notified that their data is being retained when they unsubscribe (by Mailman 3 core)? 3. When someone subscribes to a public list, are they being made aware that there is no way, for them, the subscriber, to remove their user data *except* if they also register an account through Postorius and then proceeds to delete that account along with them unsubscribing from a list? 4. Am I correct to assume when someone unsubscribes from all lists, AND deletes their Postorius/Django account, that all data on them is being removed? So please understand that questions 1-3 are for a scenario of a subscriber that is only subscribing to a SINGLE list and has not registered with Postorius/Django. Question 4 is dealing with someone who has multiple subscriptions AND is also a registered Postorius/Django user. *This is what I believe are valid reasons for an expectation that data being retained:* 1. A subscriber who is NOT a Postorius/Django user but has multiple subscriptions to various lists on the same Mailman 3 instance subscribes from a single list. They should expect their user data to be retained because they still have active subscriptions to other lists. 2. A subscriber who IS a registered Postorius/Django user is subscribed to a single list and unsubscribes from that single list but did NOT delete their Postorius/Django account. 3. A combination of 1&2. All I am requesting is that for single list subscribers who are not registered users of Postorius/Django, to have their user data totally removed when they unsubscribe. I simply fail to see how someone could claim a right to data retention when they unsubscribe from the one list that they were subscribed to. One big cosmetic change is Settings page for List owners, which now has a vertical menu on the left instead of horizontal tabs. The major problem with horizontal tabs for settings was that we were running out of horizontal space in our page width, because of which we weren't able to separate out settings in as-many sections as wanted to. Bounce processing for example was a part of the "Member Policy" tab which included subscription/un-subscription policies. Now, we have a new section for "bounce processing" and flexibility to group other settings into a new section for better discovery of so many list settings. Hopefully, this will be the last rc and I'll do a stable release next weekend! There's no Mailman there. :-) For that to get a response from Postorius, at minimum you need to substitute your Mailman web host for "www.example.com", and the list's ID (usually the same as the posting address with "." substituted for the "@") for $list_id. You may also need to change the URL path, depending on the top-level urls.py you use for Postorius. > 2. Hi, I have a mailman3 setup in venv with python 3.11.2 mailman 3.3.9 mailman-hyperkitty 1.2.1 I feel I have read a lot about issues with stucked files in spool directory still I am not able to proceed with debugging in my case. Ideas would be welcome and appreciated. As you guessed, Mark, it was related to bootstrap, though not from the browser cache but a mixup of versions served by the server. Also thanks to your research, Mike, I found that my Apache server has Alias /mailman3/static /var/lib/mailman3/web/static /var/lib/mailman3/web/static included a directory "postorius" which served bootstrap.min.css v3.3.5 whereas on my server v4.0.0 is included in python3-django-postorius 1.3.4-2+deb11u1 cd /var/lib/mailman3/web/static mv postorius postorius.bak ln -s /usr/share/python3-django-postorius/static/postorius fixed it for me. postorius / adjusted settings menu

Hi together, I want to adjust the settings menu to reduce to the options really needed. The easiest way would be to edit src/postorius/views/list* but I don't think that's a good idea. So what comes to my mind is to have some variable in the configuration that contains the menu items and - if set - the submenus. E.g. the following: { 'list_identity': ['!gateway_to_mail', '!gateway_to_news', '!linked_newsgroup', '!newsgroup_moderation', '!nntp_prefix_subject_too' ], 'automatic_responses', 'alter_messages', 'dmarc_mitigations', 'digest', 'message_acceptance', 'archiving', 'subscription_policy', 'bounce_processing' } would express: default menu and just remove the mentioned items. Of course, something like ['advertised', 'description', 'info', 'display_name', 'subject_prefix'] would work as well. Resorting should also be possible, so something like { 'list_identity': ['advertised', 'description', 'info', 'personalize'] } would give a very small list of items to select from. What do you think about the idea? Andi
