No joy. There is no menu entry for that page ( ".../unsubscription_requests") and when entering the URL manually I get: Page not found This page either doesn't exist, or it moved somewhere else. The menu item and page for ".../subscription_requests" display okay: Subscriptions pending approval (0) There are currently no subscription requests for this list. Trip report -- setting up mailman3 in gcloud

Mailman people -- I've been running mailman3 in production in Google's cloud for about 4 years now. Recently I started seeing many bounces from members who subscribe from yahoo, aol, bellsouth, or verizon. The bounces were triggered by DKIM failures. DKIM failures in my setup are apparently not new. Some spelunking revealed I've had outbound DKIM failures for years. It is possible my system has never properly signed outbound emails. But now it matters to these email providers. I decided to spin up a dev/test instance. I installed mailman3 from scratch in a venv environment on Debian 12. I used these excellent instructions: https://docs.list.org/en/latest/install/virtualenv.html#virtualenv-install I got this: GNU Mailman 3.3.10 (Tom Sawyer) Python 3.11.2 (main, Apr 8 2026, 01:58:00) [GCC 12.2.0] What I learned (relearned from 4 years ago): - Getting mailman up is easy. - The hard part is getting traffic in and out. Postfix is complicated to set up in this environment. Getting all the DNS and multiple layers of proxies set up to access Postorius/Django/Gunicorn is not simple. - I took lots of snapshots along the way. I used those snapshots to back out of a couple of dead ends. Highly recommended. I have only one open issue. Shortly after I start mailman I get this warning: /opt/mailman/venv/lib/python3.11/site-packages/falcon/request.py:2483: DeprecatedWarning: The RequestOptions.auto_parse_form_urlencoded option is deprecated. Please use Request.get_media() to consume the submitted URL-encoded form instead. warnings.warn( I am ignoring this. Is there something I should do about this? In the end, after experimenting with many possible solutions (including installing openDKIM), the solution was simple. I added this line to my mailman.cfg: remove_dkim_headers: yes Once the DKIM headers were removed, my outbound SMTP relay happily signs the emails and all is well. (Or it least it is after hours spent learning how to configure the outbound relay properly.) Someday soon I need to completely reinstall my production environment, but for now, I'm continuing on. Hyperkitty tracebacks: possible DB corruption?

Hi Folks, Just recently I've started seeing backtraces from Django when trying to view old threads in hyperkitty. They say that more than one LastView is being returned, and at a later date cannot delete a LastView. I'm using the Debian-packaged hyperkitty and postorius, but this code hasn't changed from upstream. The backtraces come when a logged in used revisits a thread. So I see: Internal Server Error: /hyperkitty/list/devel(a)sel4.systems/thread/XP2GFYGXOXBC3QBKKZQLZ6STSHQHK6K2/ MultipleObjectsReturned at /hyperkitty/list/devel(a)sel4.systems/thread/XP2GFYGXOXBC3QBKKZQLZ6STSHQHK6K2/ get() returned more than one LastView -- it returned 2! Trying to configure a list (hosted)

Is there a how to on how to configure a list? For example, using a hosted option, I see this menu: Subscription requests Held messages Users Templates Settings Mass operations Banned addresses Header filters And cling on settings, for example. I have already removed my list from the list of lists on the server since I want my website users to only see my list. They can either do that here https://list.tokyoprogressive.org/postorius/lists/discuss.list.tokyoprogres… or here https://list.tokyoprogressive.org/accounts/signup/ I actually do not WANT people to join without being able to use the web interface because it is intended to be a discussion list. So the option to subscribe without creating an account. is confusing to me, which is why I prefer the latter. BUT...using a test of signing up myself (using 3 other email addresses I have), some using the subscription option and some using the bottom one (no account), all the email addresses end up in my members list and non end up in my non members list. (So I am wondering what a non member is. I had thought it was someone who signed up without registering (just name, no password), but if so i wonder why all 3 of my addresses end up in the members place. Lastly, I want to configure it as a discussion list. However, I do not see that option, which was clear in MAILMAN 2. (And I understand that if someone registers without making an account, I cannot set them myself to have an account enabling them to see the archives and post from the web? If it IS possible, that would be great, because the purpose of the archives in my case is to enable better discussions than if one has only to refer to their past emails.) That is about it for now, but I am stuck on this right now and a user manual for non techie people, if it exists, would be nice. I see one for list members but not administrators. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place? Thanks paul

To close the loop on this topic... Comments received directly from one of the people who developed the AWS Marketplace kits for Mailman 3 and Mailman 4 have definitively established that AWS Mailman is *not* intended to interact with AWS SES when receiving email messages. AWS Mailman is designed to receive its email messages via Postfix. With many thanks to all those on this list who corroborated "Mailman and SES don't mix" mantra here, we are taking the advice received from so many sources and ending efforts to do the impossible.
