Hi, Yes, my (rivimey/ansible-mailman3) version is more complex, although a lot of things have sane defaults. The split allows for a two-way split, with email on one IP and web (both P and H) on another. This is because the email and web servers that would be interacting with mailman are already on different IPs and I felt it was inappropriate to merge them. I also enabled a lot more options for configuration, though with equivalent defaults defined. I recall a lot of hassle with the config merge stuff but can't really remember what that was about. My installer code installs all the code of mailman on both servers, because this was easier than trying to work out which parts were needed and which weren't and then maintain the split. However, only the needed processes on each server are run. My install uses exim4 and mysqld, exim is installed with another of my ansible roles while mysql is using geerlingguy's. I use nginx as a reverse proxy to access postorius. I don't think I made any changes which disfavour postgres or postfix, but haven't tried to do an install with them. There is one patch needed for mailman code, for me: I add a new parameter to the django webserver so it can listen on ::0/0, without this it will only listen on one specific IP. FWIW I've attached it to this mail. If you have a play and get confused or stuck, let me know! As regards to maintenance, the role gets tweaked every so often and somewhat less often I push the current state to github. If someone reaches out to contact me I may well be able to help. However, it will choose the templates from the site/no directory. So it chooses the correct template for my site preferences, but the list has the wrong language. Mailman reports Norwegian as default language. Is all language related setup in files? Should I check postgresql for language settings? Thor

at the finish line of mailman3 docker, but can't sign in.

I am trying to setup mailman3 in docker and have some questions, I can see the finish line :) i hope. I start my images and I can access the web,http://Servername.domain.com/postorius/lists/ and no list are there of course, but How do i sign in? I click the forget link and I have to enter in a email address. I put in the email address I added to the docker-compose.yaml but that does not wrok. I have these setup in the .yaml file. MAILMAN_ADMIN_USER: The username for the admin user to be created by default. MAILMAN_ADMIN_EMAIL: The email for the admin user to be created by default. I found this url http://Servername.domain.com/admin/login However I never set a password and here is no forget button, Basically once I have docker installed, and mailman3 up and no lists are available, How do I setup or/and sign in as admin? Also In docker how can I test sending mail? the command "mailman-web sendtestemail youremailid@domain" from the mailman-web container does not work. How can I make sure my containers can send and receive mail?

404 on fresh install (Debian11)

Hello, very new to mailman3, I used to manage mailman2 on a Debian 10 server. The server has been upgraded to Debian 11 and mailman2 disappear… I try fresh install of mailman3, prerequisite to data migration, but without success. If some can help, I would be really greatful. Here is my path: - `mailman3-full` install with apt. MySQL config since I have this DBMS - `python3-pymysql` install with apt after seeing errors in logs - Apache2 configuration (other virtual hosts are present) ```apache2 <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName newsletter.mydomain.tld Alias /static /var/lib/mailman3/web/static Alias /favicon.ico /var/lib/mailman3/web/static/postorius/img/favicon.ico DocumentRoot /var/lib/mailman3/web/static <Directory "/var/lib/mailman3/web/static"> Require all granted </Directory> ProxyPassMatch ^/static ! When trying to access `/static` sub-path, I get `Cannot serve directory /var/lib/mailman3/web/static/admin/: No matching DirectoryIndex found`. I also tried `ProxyPass / unix:/run/mailman3-web/uwsgi.sock|uwsgi://localhost` but also fails with `No protocol handler was valid for the URL / (scheme 'uwsgi')` I am a bit lost with that. list footer questions

Hi, This seems to me like basic simple questions, I have tried FAQ and other resources, with not much success. I have two questions: 1. When I send an email to a list, in gmail and yahoo I see the following text with the links at the end of the email body: _______________________________________________ Testlist_dmark1 mailing list - listname(a)domain.tlb<mailto:testlist_dmark1@newlistserv.aaas.org> To unsubscribe send an email to listname-leave(a)domain.tlb In<mailto:listname-leave@domain.tlb%0b%0bIn> outlook this is added as an attachment in the form of a TEXT file, when you open it, you see the same text. Question: Is there a way to change this, that it looks in outlook the same way as it appears in gmail/yahoo? I know MS does it own stuff sometime and we have no impact on that, but I was thinking maybe we might change the footer in a way that outlooks sees that as part of email body. 2. How may I change the format and the text in footer? I was expecting it under list > setting, in postorius, but I could not find it.
