Re: [EXTERNAL]Re: Unable to download attachments from HyperKitty

by Derek Lambert

I modified my container to use Alpine 3.9 with Python 3.6 instead of Fedora 29 with Python 3.7. Still seeing the same issue, so it's not the distro or python. Thinking it must be something in one of my configs. Derek Lambert On 2/20/19, 3:00 PM, "Derek Lambert" <Derek.Lambert(a)cdw.com> wrote: *** PLEASE NOTE: This email transmission was sent using a CDW address but originated from an e-mail system that is neither controlled nor managed by CDW and its affiliates. Please use extreme caution when opening or responding to this email message.*** This happens with all attachments, regardless of file type. I've rebuilt my containers numerous times and have tried running them on different hosts. uwsgi does log it's only generating 26 bytes for attachment requests. Example: uwsgi: [pid: 15|app: 0|req: 3/20] 192.168.253.1 () {48 vars in 2110 bytes} [Wed Feb 20 20:18:35 2019] GET /hyperkitty/list/test-list@domain.com/message/XWTEPEKLG5DNHW4M223RH3ULQ3ZMNOKK/attachment/3/attachment.htm => generated 26 bytes in 36 msecs (HTTP/1.1 200) 13 headers in 649 bytes (1 switches on core 1) It doesn't appear it's a header issue, they're identical (except for the dates) with and without the patch. I can provide them if you'd like. I assume it's not an issue with HyperKitty since no one else has reported it. Was hoping someone had encountered this when running with uwsgi. Google was no help. I am not sure if this is exactly a bug in Hyperkitty. I am not able to replicate this with a extremely complicated test: Downloading a signature file in an email on lists.mailman3.org. It runs on gunicorn + Django 2.1.5 ( I think) and latest Git heads of respective projects. Is this a recurring or one time thing that you observed? It would be great if we could you could capture the HTTP Headers with and without the patch you sent above to help debug why does `.tobytes()` lets you download. -- thanks, Abhilash Raj (maxking) _______________________________________________ Mailman-users mailing list -- mailman-users(a)mailman3.org To unsubscribe send an email to mailman-users-leave(a)mailman3.org https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__lists.mailman3.org_mai…

Re: Backup and restore a single list

If any one know the procedure or the documentation , please point me Unlike Mailman 2.1, Mailman 3 stores all it's list specific data in a database. The database contains data for all lists, so backing up all lists would be a backup procedure for the database which depends on the database manager, i.e., sqlite, MySQL/MariaDB or PostgreSQL. A procedure to backup/restore a single list would require a script to extract/restore the data for that list from the DB. Re: Add domain to Mailman, can't create list with that new domain

by Andy Matthews

Greetings Odhiambo, thanks for your response. I personally don't use Postorius, and I'm not even sure anyone on our team is using it. A quick search of all our repositories shows only a single mention, back in 2017. A member of my team uses hand-written Python scripts to do much of the configuration, which is why I'm slowly trying to convert everything over to using the REST API. As to your comment about not understanding my question. I basically want to add a domain to our Mailman installation, or to set a different primary for different environments, so that I can create mailing lists against those other domains. mydomain.com <- primary in production and local development staging.mydomain.dev <- I want this to become primary in our staging environment.

Re: Migrating users from MM2 to MM3 on a new server?

On 11/25/24 9:31 AM, jkoral(a)luc.edu wrote: > Is there a way to copy users from the old MM2 server to a new MM3 server? Also, will it copy their password as well? The `mailman import21` command imports am MM 2.1 config.pck to a MM 3 list. Passwords are not imported. MM 3 does not use a list member's password. The web management UI (Postorius) and web archiver (HyperKitty) are Django applications and the user has to sign up for a Django account via the web UI. This account is then connected to the users list memberships via the user's email address. However, I have an issue, when I go to login using Postorius, I get the login page when I enter my credentials the page appears to hang and eventually goes to a Error 500 page. This totally hangs all of the mailman 3 web interface (but not apache). I then have to reboot the server to even get back to the login page. This seems like something I've seen reported before, but I can't find it now. The only bin/mailman I have inside the mailman-core container is /usr/local/bin/mailman, which is the same command.
