Upgrading packages

Hello Mark & all, I have the venv installation on my Debian 11 system running. I followed your suggestion to upgrade all packages. When upgrading hyperkitty by this command: pip install --upgrade git+https://gitlab.com/mailman/hyperkitty@master I noticed that mistune-2.0.0rc1 was upgraded to mistune-2.0.4. All packages were upgraded fine. I applied the patch to venv/lib/python3.9/site-packages/hyperkitty/lib/renderer.py to change the mistune import line. When I run now mailman-web migrate I get: *CommandError: Conflicting migrations detected; multiple leaf nodes in the migration graph: (0017_auto_20220628_1132, 0018_alter_emailtemplate_language in postorius).* *To fix them run 'python manage.py makemigrations --merge'* However, when I run the suggested command as: $ python ./venv/lib/python3.9/site-packages/mailman_web/manage.py makemigrations -- merge No conflicts detected to merge. Can I just ignore this behavior? At the moment, I don't dare to carry out these steps on my production system. Would be nice to shed some light on this. Eggert

Neither of these addresses the wsgi server per se. It could be Gunicorn, uWSGI, Apache mod_wsgi or possibly something else. Apparently you are using Gunicorn and want to continue to do so. The database contains data for all lists, so backing up all lists would be a backup procedure for the database which depends on the database manager, i.e., sqlite, MySQL/MariaDB or PostgreSQL. A procedure to backup/restore a single list would require a script to extract/restore the data for that list from the DB. Greetings Odhiambo, thanks for your response. I personally don't use Postorius, and I'm not even sure anyone on our team is using it. A quick search of all our repositories shows only a single mention, back in 2017. A member of my team uses hand-written Python scripts to do much of the configuration, which is why I'm slowly trying to convert everything over to using the REST API. As to your comment about not understanding my question. I basically want to add a domain to our Mailman installation, or to set a different primary for different environments, so that I can create mailing lists against those other domains. mydomain.com <- primary in production and local development staging.mydomain.dev <- I want this to become primary in our staging environment.
