Add member to a list by email

Hello, I'm trying to add members by email with the following content. Recipient: testlist-request(a)xxxxxxxx.de Email content: join address=max.mustermann(a)xxxxxxxx.de After I've sent this email, it still has to be confirmed in the Postorius web interface under member requests. How can I confirm membership by email, or deactivate this confirmation for moderators? Thanks. Best regards, Dirk

Mailing list welcome message won't update

Hi there, I have updated the welcome message for a mailing list by directly updating the file at: file:///var/lib/mailman3/templates/lists/[redacted].lists.[redacted].org.au/en/list:user:notice:welcome I then restarted theses services: mailman3, mailman3-web and nginx. But when I test subsribe to the mailing list, the welcome message does not update. GNU Mailman 3.1.1 (Between The Wheels) Postorius Version 1.1.2 Thank you for your help in advance. Frances

Heads up: settings.ACCOUNT_AUTHENTICATION_METHOD is deprecated

Hello, I have a venv installation of: mailman postorius django-mailman3 hyperkitty mailman-web I just did a pip install -U --upgrade-strategy eager When running mailman-web runjobs -l I get the following Warning: System check identified some issues: WARNINGS: ?: settings.ACCOUNT_AUTHENTICATION_METHOD is deprecated, use: settings.ACCOUNT_LOGIN_METHODS = {'email', 'username'} I guess this is from allauth (version django-allauth-65.4.1). Changing ACCOUNT_AUTHENTICATION_METHOD to ACCOUNT_LOGIN_METHODS in /etc/mailman3/settings.py is not enough. One has to edit venv/lib/python3.11/site-packages/mailman_web/settings/mailman.py -- Mit freundlichen Gruessen, Andreas Vetter

Disabling "delete account" option

Dear all, Recently, I have migrated from Mailman2 to Mailman3 GNU Mailman 3.3.10 (Tom Sawyer) Python 3.11.9 Some of the list users logged into Postorius and went to profile settings. Over there, they found an option "Delete Account". Without any discussion, they deleted their account and all their list membership. How can we prevent this from happening? Is it possible to disable this "Delete Account" option, or can we add some admin approval?
