For the first issue, you need to examine mailman.log for the time of the post looking for errors and tracebacks. Also, the MTA logs may have useful info if the messages were sent but not delivered. For the second, there are many content filtering settings not (yet) exposed in Postorius. These include filter_extensions, filter_types, pass_extensions and pass_types which control which MIME parts are removed. For a newly created Mailman 3 list, these four settings are empty, but importing a Mailman 2.1 list will set them according to the corresponding MM 2.1 list's settings. > All I found was "convert HTML to plaintext", but does this setting > remove attachements? You can set Settings -> Alter Messages -> Filter content to No in Postorius to not do any content filtering at all. This will override the Collapse alternatives and Convert html to plaintext settings and pass the message without removing any MIME parts. I don't think there is for this, although there's a certain amount of code for filtering the messages that are being processed (stripping attachments of specified MIME types, converting text/html to text/plain, etc). I'm not sure if that's done in advance of holding for moderation. So maybe it would be OK to repurpose that code to your end (though I'd want it to be a proper refactoring, not cargo culting the post distribution filter into the moderation code), and somebody would need to do the same for Postorius. Not necessarily you (I infer you're talking about a separate application that talks to Mailman core for moderation), but availability to Postorius users with common administrative UI would make it a lot more attractive to us.

Looks like you want to run the Hyperkitty management command "mailman_sync" You could also just grab the MailingList object you want and run "mlist_object.update_from_mailman()" on it. I couldn't get the command to run, will investigate later...

MM3.1 templates

I've managed, to setup MM3.1 using the docker images from http://github.com/maxking/docker-mailman. I would like to start customizing the templates MM3.1 uses for the footer and confirmation emails. Is there any mailman site admin or list admin documentation on how to customize email templates in MM3.1? I've found this template doc at https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/tree/master/src/mailman/rest/docs, but I'm not clear how this works.. and it appears postorius doesn't have template support yet? I am new to python and django.. -- --Matt

Hi, I'm having the same problem: changes to the "Archive policy" settings in postorius are not reflected in hyperkitty. Trying to use mailman_sync to fix this gave me the same BaseCommand traceback as above, but "mlist_object.update_from_mailman()" works. So luckily we have a workaround, thanks. But I suspect that there's some misconfiguration or permission problem on our server that's blocking the automatic synchronisation from taking place. Any advice to resolving this would be appreciated. :) Cheers, Cyprian

restrict sending to owner/moderator

Hello, I'd like to restrict message acceptance on a per-list basis to the owner or moderator, so that simple subscribers cannot send messages to the list. But I don't want the owner/moderator having to moderate own messages, so the member setting "hold for moderation" in Postorius isn't applicable. Is there a way to do this?
