Gmail emails bouncing - anybody seen this problem?
Friends
On a fresh install (docker) on a fresh VPS I am getting all Mailman messages to Gmail addresses bouncing telling me I am sending too many messages. Has anybody else have this problem?
I am getting the following error in mail.log: "Our system has detected an unusual rate of 550-5.7.1 unsolicited mail originating from your IP address. To protect our 550-5.7.1 users from spam, mail sent from your IP address has been blocked. 550-5.7.1 Please visit 550-5.7.1 https://support.google.com/mail/?p=UnsolicitedIPError to review our 550 5.7.1 Bulk Email Senders Guidelines. l26si395949wme.8 - gsmtp"
I have been to the URL mentioned and exhausted my options there.

Make sure you have a SPF record setup for the sending domain. Also if this is a new IP address then ISPs such as Gmail and Yahoo recommend you "warm" up the IP address until its reputation is built up. However none of this has anything to do with Mailman 3. Just a FYI.
Have a great day!

When a outbound email bounces where is the carcass? Google is asking me for all the headers, and since this email bounced I do not have a handy copy. Worik

Gone.
Google is asking me for all the headers, and since this email bounced I do not have a handy copy.
Presumably this is list mail so your list copy should be the same except for the few headers related to delivery from Mailman to you.
Also, if you have the 'prototype' archiver enabled, you will find the message with all headers up to the point,it was sent from Mailman in mailman's var/archives/prototype/LIST_ADDRESS/new/ directory.

Nope.
I cannot send *any* emails to a gmail address.
So it is the first "Welcome to the list" email.
As far as I can tell there is no solution to the problem, which is why I ask is any one else having this problem? Am I incredibly unlucky or is this a known problem?
I have a SPF record.
I have tried a new VPS on a different IP address.

Do you really mean that. If so, just send anything to a gmail address from the server with Bcc: to yourself.

Well. Golly.
I complained to Google, and heard nothing back.
But with no changes on my end they have stopped bouncing my emails. Now they are just marked as spam. I can live with that.
Very frustrated with google's levels of service. What a pain!
Thank you Brian Carpenter, who may well have been right about "warming up the IP". What ever that might mean. I have not read that RFC, but I have a lot to learn.
Thank you Mark Sapiro, for your patience.
Thank you every body for the obviously hard work creating this system. I have a long way to go until I know how to use it properly, but I am no longer stopped at the google cliff.
