Feature request, hyperkitty, low volume lists
I host several low volume mail lists. Typically these are announcement lists where low volume is deliberate -- too many emails and people might unsubscribe.
These lists are archived but most months there are not any postings. Browsing the archives can mean much clicking to find content, this is done better with mailman2.
My request is to make finding content easier. Possibilities:
• On the summary (left hand side) put the number of posts after the month name
• Only show months (left hand side) where there are any posts
For an example see:
https://fridayfolk.phcomp.co.uk/mailman3/hyperkitty/list/announce@fridayfolk...
(There is one post in November)
Regards

The above URL and also https://fridayfolk.phcomp.co.uk/mailman3/hyperkitty/list/announce@fridayfolk... and even https://fridayfolk.phcomp.co.uk/mailman3/hyperkitty/ all give a 500 internal server error response.

Sigh - try again.
The 500 error happens several times a day. After 5 minutes it behaves as it should ... until it happens again some time later. I have not found out what is happening; nothing obvious in the logs, not high system load. I can live with it for now as I am busy elsewhere.

The links work for me.

This is a long standing issue. See https://gitlab.com/mailman/hyperkitty/-/issues/79
For an example see:

The style of this page is not standard. Is this a downstream packaged HyperKitty? See https://lists.mailman3.org/archives/list/mailman-users@mailman3.org/2025/1/ for the standard page or https://mail.python.org/archives/list/mailman-i18n@python.org/2024/12/ for one with no posts.

I installed from the Debian repositories as it seemed more straightforward than following the instructions on the mailman project. But it has left me running code that is ~2 years old. I might try to migrate at some point.
