Automatic response to non-members
Hi!
I have a mailing list, where I accept every incoming message without subscription.
I set this up for a recruitment website (jobs@xyz.org). It works nice. All mails are sent to archive where me and other admins can go through all applications.
Now we want to set up an automatic response to incoming messages.
I tried to set "Autorespond postings" but since the applicants are not subscribers, this won't work. I aso set the template for "Notice sent to a poster when their message has been received by the mailing list". Both approaches don't seem to work.
Any ideas to get this working without relying on additional software?

I think this is a bug. I think if the list is set to accept non-member posts and there is an autoresponse for posts, it should work for a non-member post.
Please open an issue for this at <https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/issues/new>.
