Set SITE_ID = 0 in your Django settings. Also see

Actually "SITE_ID = 1" solved that instead. I also had to go into the database and update the values (django provided 'example.com' by default and that was problematic).
The common practice I have see is that one creates their domain on the web interface, which then displays the SITE_ID = N. You then take the value into settings.py to replace the one that's there.
