Hi.
The issue is still unresolved with the Ubuntu 22.04 packages. This is because when Ubuntu 22.04 shipped it came with Python 3.10 and the Mailman version that supports Python 3.10 3.3.8 wasn't released.
Here is a bug on the Ubuntu side about this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mailman3/+bug/1999197
The instructions posted to this list to get Mailman running in a venv work fine with Ubuntu 22.04 and Python 3.10 and is what I am using for a couple of hosts. My own view is there are too many moving parts for the distro packages to keep track of, so I will do that myself using the venv and let the distro manage the system packages.
There are newer Debian packages available in Debian testing, but they don't seem to have been migrated over to Ubuntu 22.04 yet, possibly they are in 23.04 and those versions could be used (unsure).
Thanks. Andrew. -Original Message----- From: Mark London <markrlondon@gmail.com> Sent: Friday, April 14, 2023 8:44 PM To: mailman-users@mailman3.org Subject: [MM3-users] Is it possible yet to install Mailman 3 for Ubuntu 22.04?
Is it possible yet to install Mailman 3 for Ubuntu 22.04?
If not, will it be possible in the near future? Thanks.
Mark
