I have a large number of messages in the shunt directory due to some testing done. What is the proper method of dealing with them? Is there a way to release them again to the archiver or can I safely delete them?
I'm assuming based on what you say above that these were all shunted in the archiving process because of some issue in that process which has been fixed.
If that is the case, you have choices. If you want the messages to be archived, just run
mailman unshunt
. If you don't want them archived you can runmailman unshunt
--discard` or you can simply remove the .pck files from var/queue/shunt.
That worked wonderfully. Thank you.
