I am working with a client in importing a large MM2 mbox file (around 1GB in size) into a Mailman 3 list using:
/opt/mailman/mm/bin/django-admin hyperkitty_import --no-sync-mailman -l list@listdomain list.mbox
I planned on syncing after the import.
Well, the client did not have enough memory on the server for the above job and it crashed in the middle of it. I informed the client who added more memory to the VPS. I went and deleted the partial archives via Hyperkitty and proceeded with the above import job again. The job finished but it seems only the messages that were imported were those AFTER the crash happened.
How can I remove the archives completely so I can rerun this mbox file in its entirety?
It seems the mbox file that I received was only partial and the hyperkitty_import script did in fact import everything.
FYI, the --since flag for hyperkitty_import is very useful for those who have to import multiple mbox files for the same archive.
