Sure, I understand that. But let me emphasize that even if it's hard for me to say that open source volunteer developers are responsible for *anticipating* a fiasco like this, we are responsible for *addressing* it, both in fixed code and in support. Anyone in this kind of situation can write a quick, vague "Help!" message, and if we're online, there's a good chance they'll get an immediate response, and they might be able to halve the time to "done" in a case like this.
This is not a waste of our time even if one is going to get to work addressing it right away.
Of course the GNU GPL "NO WARRANTEE" still applies, but we care and we don't resent users with problems. We'll try.
