It would be good if Mailman could do what Discourse do here. You can install it any number of ways but they push you towards one installation option. This makes it easier for and instils confidence in less technical people, and makes it easier for the developers to provide support. At the same time, it’s possible for an expert to choose different options. Have a look at: https://github.com/discourse/discourse/blob/master/docs/INSTALL-cloud.md
