I'm not sure what the issue is, but I can't find us on Gmane.

<http://news.gmane.org/gmane.announce> shows only 4 new groups in April, none of which are us. and a visual search of the <http://dir.gmane.org/index.php?prefix=gmane.mail> hierarchy shows only the 4 mailman-*@python.org lists that have been there a long time.
